Introduction
The "View as Slideshow" functionality in CustomerGauge provides a convenient way to present your reports in an automated, full-screen format. This feature transforms your static report into a dynamic presentation, allowing for easy consumption and sharing of key insights.
How to Access and Use the Slideshow
To initiate the slideshow for any report within CustomerGauge, simply locate and click the “Actions” button on the top right, followed by the "View as Slideshow" option. Once activated, your report will switch to Slideshow mode and ask to go to fullscreen. As soon as you press play, or go to full screen, it will automatically begin to transition through its pages, presenting each section as a separate slide.
Slideshow Controls
While the slideshow is automated, you retain full control over its progression:
- Pause: To temporarily halt the automatic progression of slides, click the "Pause" button. This allows you to spend more time on a specific slide for discussion or deeper analysis.
- Play: After pausing, clicking the "Play" button will resume the automated slideshow from the current slide.
- Next Slide: To manually advance to the next slide, click the "Forward" button. This is useful for moving through the presentation at your own pace, skipping slides if necessary.
- Previous Slide: To return to a previous slide, click the "Backward" button. This allows you to revisit information or compare data points.
- (Exit) Fullscreen: To go into fullscreen mode after the initial pop-up, click the bottom-right fullscreen button. To leave fullscreen mode, click the Exit Fullscreen button or press Esc on your keyboard.
Benefits of Using the Slideshow Feature
The "View as Slideshow" feature offers several advantages:
- Enhanced Presentation: Presents your report data in a clear, full-screen format, ideal for meetings and presentations.
- Automated Progression: Saves time and effort by automatically advancing through report sections.
- Interactive Control: Provides flexibility to pause, skip, and review slides as needed.
- Focus on Key Insights: Helps to highlight critical information by presenting it on one slide at a time.
FAQs
- Can I click on metrics or explore them further in the slideshow?
The slideshow is built for presentation, so it doesn’t support interactive features like clicking into metrics or drilling down. For deeper analysis, you’ll want to open the full report. That said, if a widget contains more data than what’s initially shown, it will auto-scroll, and you can manually scroll within that widget during your presentation.
- Who can set up a slideshow?
If you have access to a report, you can use the slideshow feature for that report. If you are not an Admin or do not have access to the reports, that means the feature is disabled for your user role. [More on that here.]
- Can the slideshow show which filters are applied to the report?
Filters and date ranges aren’t shown in slideshow mode. To be sure you’re presenting the right data, double-check your filters in the standard report before starting the slideshow.
- Can I customize the slideshow design, like changing the background or removing the CustomerGauge logo?
The design is set to make sure slides look consistent and clear across screens. This includes the background and the CustomerGauge logo, which can’t be adjusted.
- Why don’t I see numbers on my graphs unless I hover over them?
There’s a setting in the standard report called ‘Show numbers on relevant Graphs/Charts’. Turning that on will display the numbers on the graphs directly—no need to hover, as long as the chart type supports it.
