Introduction

Use these API methods to import (post XML data directly) a multitude of records into your CustomerGauge system.


Good to know

Maximum size:

Please do not upload data larger than 2MB.


Maximum number of records:

Please do not upload more than 2,000 records.


Call interval / frequency:

Multiple upload calls made in quick succession will get queued, and periodically retried, but to obtain optimum performance we recommend allowing the previous upload to finish before attempting the next one. (Uploads can take anywhere between a few seconds and several minutes depending on the size and complexity of data.)


API response format:

Our APIs return data in either JSON or XML format (depending on request by .json or .xml).


Data format:

Our Stream APIs accepts XML data only.


When to call which API

Transactional:

Use this API set to upload survey records that need to be delivered – similar to doing a Transactional Upload in the In-App Upload.


Contact

Use this API to interact with Contacts in CustomerGauge. Contacts can be used to send manual e-mail campaigns from the Delivery Manager.


Historical

Use this API to interact with survey records that have been completed. You would typically use this to upload a historical data file (data from a previous Net Promoter Score® campaign conducted outside of CustomerGauge) into the system.
