Where can I find Data Import?

Navigation Menu -> Admin -> Data Import

What format should the data be in?

Data can be uploaded in CSV, XLS or XML format.

What is the difference between Contact List and Historical Data?

Contact List will need to be used for uploading contact lists to send out emails and surveys. You will only need to upload a contact once to the Contact List.

Historical data will need to be used for uploading historical data (data from a previous NPS® campaign conducted outside of CustomerGauge) to the system. This data can contain both respondents’ and non-respondents’ information.

Where can I upload my contact list?

In the Data Import functionality

-> Choose your preferred Upload Type - Upload File, Copy Paste data or Manual Record

-> Choose the Contact List Option

In the case of Upload File, a dialogue box will open prompting you to choose a file

-> Select the required file and upload

In the case of Copy Paste Data, copy paste the content of your csv or xls file here.

This will now upload the data from your sheet to the screen. You will then need to map the data (source fields names) from your sheet to the correct CustomerGauge fields - the system will auto suggest the CustomerGauge fields but to change it you can select an alternate field in the drop down list or choose to ignore it.

-> If you are satisfied with the data you can select Approve; if not select Disapprove

-> If you select Disapprove, the uploaded file will be discarded and no data will be saved.

System detected error: If there is an error, it will be highlighted in red. In this case you will need to make a note of the error comment, Disapprove the upload, make the change in the data sheet and re-upload.

No error detected: If no error is detected and you are satisfied with the data, select Approve.

Will I need to re-upload my Contact list (Address Book) for every flight?

No, once the contact list is uploaded, it will always be available to use. Only new contacts need to be uploaded to the list for the next flight.
