How does the profanity filter work in the Comments widget?


The profanity filter allows you to censor the most common profane words, replacing the word with [removed]. Note that currently we will only censor common English profane words - non-English profane words, typographical errors, creative wordings and euphemisms will not be censored.

The same profanity filter is also available in our Digital Signage feature.


Can I add images to my report collection?


Yes. You can use the Custom HTML widget to add images to a report collection. 


Can I compare different date ranges?


While there is no specific widget to compare certain date ranges, you can configure different date ranges on different widgets of the same type. 

For example you can have one Gauge Widget configured to Previous Period (Week), and another Gauge widget on the same report configured to Current Period (Week). This will allow you to compare previous week with current week.


Can I filter my comments widget to show only comments for a certain loyalty type?


While it is possible to limit the Comments widget by NPS loyalty types (promoter, passive and detractor), this is not the case for the Additional Comments widget.

The Comments widget will show the main customer feedback linked to the NPS question, while the Additional Comments widget can be used to display any additional textbox answers for your survey.


Can anyone else delete my collection?


No, only the Owner of the report is able to delete the collection. A contributor of a collection will not be able to delete a report collection.


Can I have my comments shown as anonymous in the report?


Turning the "Hide Information Fields" option to "Yes" in the Comments or Additional Comments widgets will cause the information fields normally accompanying the comments not to be displayed. These additional information fields could contain information that could be used to identify the respondent.

Note that when hiding information fields, the "Fields to display" option no longer has any effect.


Can I have my comments translation shown in the comments widget?


If the Comment's Translate feature is activated in your CustomerGauge system you can have your comments automatically translated. 


Can I have my report emailed to me, or others, periodically?


The Owner or Contributors can add Recipients to a Report Collection (Dispatch Section). These Recipients will then receive a daily, weekly, and/or monthly e-mail version (based on the dispatch setting) of the Collection. See how you can set up your dispatch here.

Can I re-arrange the widgets on my report?


The Edit Mode of a report collection allows you to drag your widget around. You will be free to move widgets around on the same row, or move them to another row. 


Can I search for a specific collection?


The search box (found at the top of the report collections list in the Report Hub) allows you to search for the Collection name, or any of the data displayed in each Collection's information box. 


How do I use the general setting on a widget?


You might want to use the same date range or filters across your whole collection. 

For that purpose, you can use the Settings tab to configure the date range and filters you would like to use. Then you can go to each of your widgets and click the "Use general settings" at the Date Settings section, or select "Use Settings" on each filter. This might seem cumbersome, but it will save you time in the end. If you ever want to make a collection-wide change in the date range or filters, you only have to change it once in the Settings tab.


How does the date range affect my dispatch setting?


Aside from Previous Period, the email version report is always based "until the time of reporting". This means that if you use Current Period (Month) in your periodic report, the data in that widget will only be of the first day of the month. We highly recommend using Previous Period for periodic sending.


What does “No data for this period” mean?


Sometimes widgets might display a "No data for this period" message. This means that there is no data to be displayed, based on the widget's configurations. Note that widgets do not automatically update after changing their configurations! Save your report and click on view to be able to see your changes.


My collection list is very lengthy. Can I sort my collection list?


Yes you can sort your collection list. Simply click the Collection Name or Actions headings to sort by that column. 

Alternatively, you can also search for your collection in the search box if you already know your collection name.


Is there a limit to the number of widgets that I can have on my report?


You can have a maximum of 12 widgets on your Report Collection.


Is my collection visible to all users?


The Owner and Contributors of a report collection can define who is able to view a report. By Default all reports created are in Private Mode (Only visible to you). 

You can choose to allow all User Role Types or just a specific user type to view the report. Same for the Division option - (Everyone) or just a certain Division to view your collection. In addition to this you can also choose to share your report with an individual user. 

The Owner and Contributors are always able to view the report collection irrespective of the setting.


I tried to add a widget and I do not see any data for it?


Each widget you add will start out with some default settings (note: not related to the Settings tab). For most widgets this will be the last 30 days. It could be that there is no data matching these default settings in your CustomerGauge system. After editing the widget, save the report, and click on View page to see your changes. Some widgets also require certain settings to be configured before the widget can be used. We highly recommend you configure a widget directly after adding it, save your report and click on view to see your new setting (also to make sure all your changes are saved!).


When will I receive my report dispatch?


Monthly report dispatches are sent on the 1st of the month. Weekly dispatches are sent on Monday. The time at which the dispatch is sent depends on your server region. Please find a list below of the dispatch times in UTC.

Note that these times indicate the start of the sending process - reports are generally received within a one hour time span of these times.


Who can edit my collection?


Only the Owner and Contributors assigned by the Owner can edit a report collection. Other users may be able to view the report collection, but will never be able to make adjustments to your report collection, unless assigned as a Contributor.

What does the button Subscribe do?


While Owners and Contributors can assign Recipients to receive an email report of any of their collections, we wanted to allow users to subscribe to report collections they find interesting as well. When pressing the Subscribe button, you're signing yourself up for the periodic email of the report. You will receive all periodic versions that are enabled for this report. If the Collection is sent on a weekly and monthly basis, you'll receive the report collection both weekly and monthly. When you are already a Recipient to the collection, the Subscribe button will change to an Unsubscribe button, allowing you to take yourself off the sending list at your will.


Do note that login-based filtering (like data filtered by the user's country or division) do not apply to the e-mail version of the Collection, so please make sure your filters are set to the login specifications so other subscribes might not be able to see data they are not supposed to.


Where can I see more information about a collection?


In the main report collections list you will be able to see a small grey arrow in front of the report collection names. Clicking this arrow will display a box containing some information about the Collection. Here, you will be able to see who is the owner, when it was created, and when it was last updated. 


Where can I add a widget to my report?


On the Designer tab, you will notice a button at the top of the screen "Add a widget". Clicking this button will display a popup window from which you can select the widget you wish to add.

What is the edit option in a report?


The Edit option displayed while viewing a report collection allows you to make adjustments to the collection (generally called Edit mode). This button will only be displayed when you are either a Contributor or the Owner of the collection.


What is the difference between the different date types in the Date Setting option?


We allow filtering on different kinds of date types. These date types are Order Date, Sent Date or Form Completed Date.

Order Date is the date provided in your data upload to the CustomerGauge platform (often used - the date of purchase). A few other examples - date when the transaction occurred, the date the customer spoke to the call center or the date when the product was shipped.

Sent Date is the date on which CustomerGauge sent out the email containing the survey link to your customer.

Form Completed Date is the date on which the customer finished the survey.


What is the difference between the different date ranges in the Date Setting option?


You can choose from four different date ranges options: Rolling Period (days), Current Period, Previous Period or a Static Date Range.

Rolling Period (days) will show you the data for example the last 7 days, last 30 days or last 365 days (including the day when the report is run) depending on your choice of the widget date range.

Current Period will show you the data for example from the start of the current day, week or year depending on your choice of the widget date range until the day when the report is run.

Previous Period will show you the data for example from the start of previous day, week or year depending on your choice of the widget date range until the end of that period (end of that day, week or year).

Static Date Range allows you to choose a static date range for the report.


What is the arrow symbol next to the name of the widget?


When viewing a collection, you will notice some widgets have an arrow symbol next to the name of the widget. This arrow is a link to a corresponding report, allowing for more in-depth analysis than possible in the Report Designer. If possible, the same date and filtering options will be applied to this corresponding report.
