Uploading Transactional Data into CustomerGauge Video:

There are two ways to upload transactional customer data using this feature: Upload File and Copy Paste DataThe Manual Record  is only applicable for Contact List data uploads.

The Upload File option allows you to select a file from your hard drive and upload it directly:

The Copy Paste Data option allows you to select and copy data from an Excel or Open Office spreadsheet and paste it directly into a text box:

In both cases you should select the Upload option to go to the next step where you map your data.

Map your data

If you use Upload File or Copy Paste Data, you will be directed to a page where you can map your data to the appropriate CustomerGauge fields. The Map your data page shows the source fields (the header row in your uploaded file), the value of the first record for each field, and the CustomerGauge fields to which you can map each value. If you use the data sample as described above, the CustomerGauge fields should be automatically mapped. You may still want to edit the mapping or ignore some fields.

Finally, you can double check your data upload and select Confirm:

  • Please note that each system can have its own csv delimeter for import. If in your system your csv delimeter is (comma), only import files with csv (comma), the same applies for semi-colon. Check with your CSM what is your csv delimeter and change it if that's your wish.
